Quality Self Catering in the Heart of the Peak District
Ashdown Cottage provides no smoking accommodation in the centre of the Peak District village of Tideswell.
It’s within a few minutes level walking access to local amenities including a bakery, butchers, green grocers, Co-op general store, post office, chemist, deli and several pubs and coffee shops.
There are many wonderful walking trails from the village so you can easily leave the car outside the cottage for the duration of your holiday. If you really want to cut your carbon footprint Tideswell is served by buses from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Bakewell, Buxton and Castleton. Local buses can also take you to great walking opportunities, lovely villages and stately homes.

We have had a great time ( 2 weeks ), we will be in touch about returning next year. Recommend Red Lion at Litton – short walk away, High Nelly’s cafe – fish pie, The Cherry Tree takeaway – excellent, Elliots fish and chips – very friendly, last three places in Tideswell.Anon
