Ashdown Cottage provides no-smoking accommodation for up to 4 people and a baby in the centre of the Peak District village of Tideswell. 

Its within a few minutes level walking access to local amenities - including a deli, coffee shop, bakery, butchers, greengrocers, post office, general store,chemist and several pubs - as well as some wonderful walking trails, so you can easily leave the car outside the house for the duration of your holiday. If you really want to cut your carbon footprint, Tideswell is served by buses from Manchester, Sheffield and Chesterfield. Local buses can also take you to great walking opportunities, lovely villages and stately homes. 

About the cottage... 

Completely and lovingly renovated in 2011, everything in the cottage is brand new. The accommodation consists of a well equipped kitchen-diner, cosy sitting room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Close by is a quiet sitting area with a lock up shed for bikes etc. The large bedroom is spacious with a double bed and the second bedroom can be configured as a single or twin. A cot can be provided on request. Crisp cotton bed linen and towels are provided and heating and electric costs are included in the rental charge. We regret we are currently unable to accept pets. The cottage is available for whole weeks or for shorter breaks of 3 nights ( Friday to Sunday ) or 4 nights ( Monday to Thursday ). 

About the owners... 

We are Melanie and Ray Brindley. We've lived in Tideswell for over 25 years and take great pride in personally ensuring Ashdown Cottage lives up to your requirements. Maps and information on local attractions and public transport will be found in the cottage. We are both keen walkers and Ray is also an avid cyclist, so advice on the best routes is readily available.
